Who is Detrifie

Detrifie is a 22-year-old artist, illustrator and creator based in San Diego, California. She paints/illustrates floral, scenery, and abstract pieces in various styles. Having grown up in the Reno/Tahoe area, Detrifie embraces rich diversity to create her works.

She describes the bulk of her process as “Taking a step back, letting eyes lose focus, and seeing how the world flows when it all just burs together. What can you imagine when you’re in your own flow - not mainstream societies?”

She takes great inspiration from the knowledge passed onto her from her Noni, who guided her and taught her how to love and be one with the outdoors. That is now her focus with her subjects; to paint and illustrate with love and kindness.

Detrifie is always working on growing her platform and getting involved in helping younger artists grow. She creates a handful of things including but not limited to commissions, stickers, printmaking, painting, and illustrating.
